Upgrading your healing and FP restoration in Elden Ring is one of the most critical steps for surviving boss fights across the Lands Between. While Golden Seeds increase the number of times you can sip from your Sacred Flask, Sacred Tears enhance the amount of health or focus points recovered with each use.
Sacred Tear Locations in Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula
Players can gather four Sacred Tears early in the game within the starting regions. The Third Church of Marika in eastern Limgrave holds a Sacred Tear near the altar alongside the Flask of Wondrous Physick. Heading south across the Bridge of Sacrifice into the Weeping Peninsula reveals three additional locations: the Church of Pilgrimage, the Callu Baptismal Church, and the Fourth Church of Marika.
Sacred Tears Across Liurnia of the Lakes
As you progress north into Liurnia, three more churches house these essential upgrade items. Right after exiting Stormveil Castle, the Church of Irith offers an easy upgrade right near the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace. Further north along the main road leading toward the Grand Lift of Dectus, players can find the Bellum Church and the frenzy-infested Church of Inhibition.
Sacred Tears in Caelid and Altus Plateau
Navigating through the hazardous scarlet rot region of Caelid brings you to the Church of the Plague, which holds the area's sole Sacred Tear. Moving upward into the Altus Plateau provides two additional upgrade locations. The Second Church of Marika and the Stormcaller Church both contain altars with Sacred Tears to help prepare your character for late-game challenges.
Final Sacred Tears in the Mountaintops of the Giants
The final two Sacred Tears required to maximize your flask potency are located in the frozen northern reaches. Resting at the southern edge of the Freezing Lake, the First Church of Marika contains the eleventh tear. Finally, traveling southwest toward the Giant's Gravepost leads to the Church of Repose, completing the full set of twelve Sacred Tears needed to reach maximum flask efficiency.
